To the family of Maralyn: We were sadden to hear of the loss of your mother. We had great times at Collins over the years. Great smile and was kind to all. We were surprised when we visited a friend at Cottage Grove that she remembered both of us. And was nice to have short chats with her. What a special lady! With deepest sympathy, Paul and Becky Tranter

Our sympathy to you, Joyce and your family. Your mother was such a charming and special lady......always enjoyed the times we spent together at Younkers. Your personalities reflect each other. May she Rest In Peace.

Especially to you Julie....George and I want to send you a big virtual hug. I saw you (or was it Joyce?) visiting your mother frequently as I visited my own mother at CGP. What a poignant time for you and your family.... and this virus stuff must make it almost unbearable. Accept our condolences and know that when someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes your treasure.

My wife Donna and I lived on the same street as Maralyn and Leland in the 80's. We ran into her throughout life later with her special friend Bob Spargo after Leland died. She was always a joyous person throughout these times as we all shared our faith the Lord Jesus Christ. She always made us feel special in her life. We expect to enjoy her with Leland in heaven. Ken

Our thoughts and prayers to your entire family. We met your mom on several occasions when she would stop by at your apartment on 6th avenue in the early 70's. She was always bubbly just like Joyce and Julie. Thank you for the honor of watching the online service for Maralyn.

My heart and prayers go out to all the family. Thank you for allowing me to see the service for my beautiful first cousin, one of the sweetest people I have ever known and who possessed the most melodic voice ever. Rest In Peace Marilyn.

Special thoughts and prayers to you. What an incredible woman! Maralyn is singing with the angels! What a beautiful service today. Love and hugs to you. Every time I think of Maralyn I smile...now that's a gift! Love and deepest sympathy, Linda

Maralyn! I think she was the 1st adult Sunday school teacher I had when I first went to church with my mom as an adult. She was the kindest person and always with a smile. Sam enjoyed her friendship so much in those office and library days at Noelridge. She was always an encourager. We will see you again, dear lady. Our prayers and condolences are with the family.

My thoughts and prayers to all of you. My family were neighbors for the Hudson's for years. Jeff, you in particular I wanted to reach out to. I was so very sorry to hear of you Mom's passing. I so remember her as always being super friendly, just a very wonderful person. Heartfelt sympathies to all. I'm sure she will be missed.

Our thoughts and prayers to the Hudson Family. We remember Maralyn with a big smile and kind heart. Always enjoyed the conversations we had with her at the Hudson-Stepanek picnic. She will be missed.

Our sympathy to you, Joyce and your family. Your mother was such a charming and special lady......always enjoyed the times we spent together at Younkers. Your personalities reflect each other. May she Rest In Peace.

Maralyn was special to our family. She one who was responsible for us coming to Cedar Rapids Iowa, to Noelridge Park Church. We loved to hear her sing. When she grew older and widowed, our young sons sang to her. She was always so warm and encouraging and humble, committed to her family. She is one we look forward to seeing again in heaven.

Am remembering Maralyn and her sweetness and kindness always. She was one of my husband Kay's favorite cousins and he spoke of her often. May these sunny days we are now experiencing light your way and bring comfort in all your loving memories.

It was such a privilege to serve the Lord alongside Marolyn! She was a sweet, dedicated, and faithful lady. May God comfort the hearts of the family! She is now with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We will see you one-day Marolyn! Much Love from the Barr Family!

Maralyn was such a hero in my childhood at Noelridge Baptist Church -- her hugs, laugh, smile -- was a blessing to me as a child. Maralyn also supported me as a missionary in East Asia for years and was a faithful prayer warrior. Our family sends our love to you all. Sissy Hoff Sang

I will miss my very special cousin Maralyn. We created many family memories together and especially in our retirement years. As a younger cousin, I had the privilege of taking Alaska and New England cruises with her and her sister Elaine, We laughed a lot! Our Cousins Reunions were special because of them. I know her children Jon, Joyce, Julie and Jeff, and her brother Bill well and will keep them in my prayers as she did mine. Love you all!

Maryland is a wonderful woman and was blessed to have such wonderful children. I know how much care Julie and Joyce gave to her and her last years and that she appreciated it so much.

So sorry Julie and Joyce to hear about your loss. Maralyn was such a sweet lady I was very lucky to of known her. I first met her when I was applying for a temporary job at Rockwell Collins and she hired me on as a temp. And later, Maralyn and I worked together in the same department where I got to know her even more. She was such a sweet lady. Our hearts go out to all of her family. Kathy and Bill Brueggeman

My Aunt Maralyn was a gentle woman of God. She was someone who I could share life with. I looked forward to seeing her as I knew the visits would always be special. I will miss her but I look forward to seeing her again in heaven!

Oh I loved her laugh! Maralyn had such a zest for life that you just wanted to be around her. And I used "her" library so many times while we were at Noelridge Park Church. When I had my twins, she and I shared many stories and she gave me some awesome advice. She will be greatly missed.

I met Maralyn when my mom moved into the assisted living wing at Cottage Grove Place. Maralyn reached out to my mom right away and was always so sweet to her and also to me when I visited. The thing I remember most about her was her singing at the dinner table. It was wonderful to listen to her talk about her family. Praying for God's comfort and peace to you all.

I've known some of Maralyn's children for many years now and know how special she was to them. She was well loved by them and I hope they know that their friends are thinking of them as they grieve.

Maralyn was a very special woman! I remember taking care of Maralyn, and enjoyed her lovely spirit! My condolences to her daughters and family. Prayers and will have u all in my thoughts and prayers in the upcoming weeks! Take care!

For several years I drove Maralyn to church and got to know her quite well. One time about six months ago I went to visit her at Cottage Grove and she was eating lunch. I sat down beside her and she promptly slapped me across the face with her napkin Then she giggled like a little girl. Even at 92 she still had that playful spirit with her. I, and my wife, will miss her.

I'm so thankful I got to meet and care for Marilyn. Such a sweet, smart and sassy lovely lady. I will miss her so much. My condolences to the family.

I had the pleasure of knowing Maralyn for many years, seeing her in the hallways at Rockwell Collins, and eating lunch at her house. She was one of a kind, and she will be missed!

I have been blessed to be in the same church family as Marilyn for years Her smile was contagious along with her love for the Lord. Praying for comfort for the family during this time.
