Dora Ann McDowell (Meader) 73, of Manchester, Iowa passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on March 14, 2020.
Dora was born on February 18, 1947 to Harry and Dorothy (Nelson) Meader of Manchester, Iowa and was united in marriage to John Henry McDowell on June 15, 1962 in Volga, Iowa. Dora was a CNA for many years at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester, Iowa. She enjoyed camping, sewing, playing cards, spending time with her family, friends, and grandchildren that she loved dearly.
She is survived by her loving children, Vickie (Ken) Christen of Edgewood, John (Lynn) McDowell of Edgewood, Janine (Steve) Powers of Strawberry Point, Jody (Jerry) Boge of Manchester and Julie (Fiancé Todd) McDowell of Ida Grove.
Dora will be dearly missed by many of her surviving, brothers, sisters, grand and great grandchildren.
Dora is preceded in death by her husband John of 56 years, and her parents and several siblings,
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
