I'm thinking of all of Aunt Jean's family today. I will never forget her giggle and smile. One of my early memories is of Aunt Jean (and Mary and Ann of course) chasing my brother, Ted, around to try to kiss him goodbye after family gatherings in Genoa. While growing up, I also remember her birthday cards that usually had a stick or two of spearmint gum in them. It was such a thrill to get those every year! Aunt Jean never missed a Christmas card with a personal note to my family and me. I am so fortunate to have seen her just before her 90th birthday when many of us gathered to celebrate. Amy and Gary, thinking of you and your families and sending hugs your way. -Julie

What a beautiful lady, inside and out! We knew Jean from our time at Cedar Valley Bible Church. She was always so warm, cheerful and encouraging and interested in what was going on in our lives. She reflected her Savior so clearly. I hope we all grow old as gracefully as she did! She will be missed! We will be praying for your comfort!

My thoughts and prayers are with the Welts and Gislasons. I will always remember Aunt Jean’s laugh/giggle and her sunny disposition.

Amy, I worked with your mother several years at the Gift Shop and I loved working with and visiting with her. Such a special lady! I always enjoyed hearing about her wonderful family and I admire you all very much! I will miss Jean !! I will have my son Fr. Jeffery Stirniman say a mass for her. We Catholics like to do that! Wishing your family well. Margaret

We enjoyed your mother/grandmother so much, and we will miss her. We sat near Jean and Neal for many years at Cedar Valley, where we got to know them. We were honored to consider Jean as our good friend. Prayers for the family.
