RIP Uncle Chris! This all happened so fast it still doesn’t feel real. You were the life of every party and always knew how to make people smile. You were kind and patient and no matter how busy you were you always had time for me when we came into town. You were everything an Uncle should be. I’m so glad we got to see you so much over the last couple years and you got to know Whitton so well before you left us. We made so many many good memories over the last 30 years that will not soon be forgotten. I know you’re up in heaven partying right now. And you better believe that every single time I will be pouring one out just for you. Until we meet again...

Chris, many a days and nights we all spent shooting pool and laughing about the dumbest things. You were always positive and easy going. I just heard the news of your passing. Keep an eye on me, brother, and enjoy the great view from heaven. Your friends from Iowa City in the late 80s will carry on and see you when we see you. God Bless to your family!

My deepest sympathies to all of Chris's family. I was very saddened to hear of Chris's death. Chris was one of the hardest workers I knew. He always did nothing but the best work and so dependable and honest, sincere. I honestly cannot say enough great things about him. He will be truly missed by me. God Bless.

My sympathies to Chris’s entire family. I have known “Gars” for well over a decade, we both worked together at Randy’s. He is a great guy and I was devastated to hear of his passing. I will miss chatting with him about football and the Hawkeyes and everything else. He is a one of those guys who you feel like you’ve known forever, even though we’d only see each other a handful of times in a year, it was like we never missed a beat. Just a great guy to laugh and joke with. Whenever he came to clean our carpets our one-hour job ended up being 2-and-a-half hours because we always talked for too long. I will miss him greatly. I'm very sorry for your loss.

My sincere sympathy to the Garcia Family. I met Chris through Blue Sky and he cleaned our carpets and those of my clients before they sold their houses. I highly recommended him as he was the best, most professional carpet cleaner I ever have met. A few weeks ago, I spoke to Chris to arrange a carpet clean, and he said he was having trouble with his phone. We discussed how he ordered a new one. Chris said he was starting up his Blue Sky cleaning again soon. The Corona Virus has greatly affected a lot of people in so many different ways. So sorry for your loss.

What a shame, they always say the good die young. Never a more truer statement than for Chris Garcia. Chris was a man of principals and of all the people I have met over the years I believe he would be number one for never having stabbed anyone in the back. Chris contacted me about a week ago on Facebook and he sounded hopeful and opportunistic about the future. This is a complete shock to me. I hope he is in a better place and my best wishes go out to his family and loved ones. I am sure he would want everyone to live their lives to the fullest. Goodbye Chris until we meet again!

It has been said that Angels walk amongst us in disguise, I believe that Chris was one of them..He will always be.

Our sincere condolences to Chris's family. He had been taking care of our carpets, rugs for 4-5 years. He was always great to work with, had a quick smile and was always very cheerful and friendly.

There are no words to express the loss of Chris. He was always so fun to be around and will be sadly miss by our family.

Chris was a true friend. He was there the good times (and we had a lot of them) and bad. We were very close in the early 90s. He let me sleep on his couch between apartments and crash on my way out to west coast in 98. I wish I had have kept in better touch over the years. Hope you found peace and love brother. I miss you.

My sincere condolences to Chris's family and friends. We were classmates at Washington High School. God bless his soul.

I send my sincere condolences to all of the family and friends of Chris. I knew him through carpet cleaning before and throughout his association with Blue Sky. He truly was one of the nicest, most congenial, capable and dedicated person that I’ve met. His carpet and floor cleaning skills were amazing. He will be greatly missed.

So very sorry to read about Chris's passing. I have known Chris since he started Blue Sky Carpet Care. Chris was such a great person. I will miss him as will everyone that was fortunate to meet him. RIP my friend. You are welcomed among the angels in heaven for all your good you have done on earth.

The last time I saw Chris was when he came to visit my son Jack at UIHC when Jack had cancer. Jack was 9, Chris was one of very few who came. Huge heart, huge loss. I will always remember his love for dogs too. Peace and love

Chris was a really good guy. I had a lot of fun times with him. Going to Hawkeye games or just watching baseball. He was a smart guy who was well liked by many people. I had not seen him as much in recent years and I am sad I wont get to again. My condolences to his other friends and family.

Well stated Tom. My sentiments exactly. I will always love Chris like a brother and will miss him deeply. The world is a sadder place without him in it.

I would like to offer my deepest condolences to the family, particularly Betty and Jacob, who he spoke of so frequently. Chris was a true mama's boy, loved his mother as much as anyone I've ever known. And he was always proud of Jacob. He loved his big sisters, too. I will remember Chris with a big smile on his face and a warm and tender, sensitive heart....balanced with a razor-sharp intellect. He could relate to all types of people, particularly the down trodden or marginalized. He despised a bully or any sort of unfairness or i injustice in the world. He laughed hard and often., with keen insights and a well-informed perspective of current events, sports, and music. Women loved his easy going smooth charm. And his friends adored him for his integrity and loyalty and fun. He will be missed. But I take comfort in knowing he lived a good life, full of good sweet times and sweet memories with sweet people that he cherished.

Chris was a wonderful guy. He was a hoot to be around and always put a smile on my face. My thoughts and prayers go out to Chris' family.
