I’m so sorry for your loss. The family is in my prayers.

Jan, I didn't know your husband, but want to express my condolences. It has been 11 years since you were the pianist for Icaria. It was wonderful to have your talent to make the musical a success. It was a highlite of my life and you made it happen. Thank you so much.

He was, of course, known in Scouts as Mr. T, comparing him to a certain TV star of that era. My wife didn't recognize him from the photo, and I finally realized it was because he didn't have on a Scout uniform. We went on many an outing at various times of the year. We both had gigantic station wagons, specifically for Scout outings. It was hard not to have fun when he was there. He did indeed have a dry sense of humor. And, he taught us how to cook liver over a camp stove and make you want more. Bruce and Margarita McGovern, rural Puebla, Mexico.

Jan and Family.....We were deeply saddened to read of your loss of such a loved one. We extend our prayers, love, and sincere sympathies to your fine family......West Okoboji/Surprise, AZ......

As I mentioned to Jan, my everlasting memory of Chuck will be how he "shared the peace" during worship service. It was never just an informal greeting. He would always pause and look directly into your eyes (into your soul) before he spoke, "Peace be with you." For that moment it was as if the two of you were the only people in the room, and you truly felt "at peace". He clearly understood how, in that brief contact, you both were part of something "bigger". Thank you for that gift!

This world is a better place because of Chuck Thulin. I joined Collins in 1974 and was fortunate to be placed into the office that Chuck was in. I didn't know how fortunate I was. It didn't take me long to realize his brilliance, incredible technical knowledge, and wonderful sense of humor. What a great laugh he had. Chuck was a role model for me in raising my 1st born. I'm sure that Dr. Suess would have been proud of Chuck's role as father. I don't think I've met a person who could not come up with something negative to say about someone--until I met Chuck. Even when a person really "earned" some negative comments, Chuck wouldn't go there. What ethical strenth he had. I was so privlidged to have worked with Chuck and to have known him. If only more people had Chuck's endearing qualities, think how nice it would be !!
