Dear Deb and family, My sincere sympathies with your great loss. Doc and I had so much fun together hunting and fishing and just laughing and talking about so many things. Even fixing my two front teeth which I managed to break on my way to meet him for a day of hunting. We spent that day in his office instead. One only hopes that you can find a friend like this in life -- funny, intelligent, compassionate and a creator of so many good memories. RIP Doc.

Dear Deb and family, My love and prayers are with you all. Dr Willer was such a kind, compassionate, gentleman. I was fortunate to work with him and see the many kind works of service he did for his patients, family and friends. He was a wonderful boss and reached out to me several times over the years with a phone call (he was fishing, maybe Canada?) when I was having a health issue and later with funny or encouraging notes when I was going through rough times. That meant the world to me! He will be missed by so many. I will always remember him with a smile! He loved his family dearly and deeply and shared that pride with us often. Rest In Peace Dr. Willer

My condolences to the family of Dr. Willer. I worked for Kent when he first opened his office in Cedar Rapids. Although I had no professional trading or experience, he took a chance and hired me anyway. He was a great mentor and very patient as I learned. A true gentleman.

Thoughts and prayers are being sent to the Willer family. I've always remembered a lifes learning experience that involved Kent, myself and Coach Bowers at baseball practice. It is remembered 60 years later. Kent was a Special person.

Dr. Willer was our family dentist when we moved to Cedar Rapids in 1973 until his retirement. We didn't need a pediatric specialist because he was super gentle and calming, patient and kind to little children. We always enjoyed our visits to see our dentist and his staff. We miss him and extend our sympathies to his family.

Sorry to hear about Dr. Willer, but so happy he had time to enjoy some of his retirement too! He was always a joy to work with and had a smile on his face, which his patients and co-workers appreciated so much! We will remember him always as such a wonderful, kind person!

Dr. Willer was my dentist for a number of years in Cedar Rapids. His chair-side manners were second to none during my visits. Always considerate and caring. He was always enthusiastic in sharing the latest developments in dental technology too. After my treatments, we usually shared a minute to talk about cars & motorcycles. He will be missed as an example of a fine human being.

I was so sorry and shocked to hear of Kent's passing. Dr Willer and I grew up together in Center Point. We started school together in kindergarten and remained good friends through school. Played baseball under coach Bob Bowers, Basketball, and track. And much fun in the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. We did a lot of things together that I wouldn't mention here, and a lot of great fun things that would take way too much time. I had a dentist when Kent moved to Cedar Rapids. But it didn't take but a few seconds to decide to move to his office. And going to the dentist was really enjoyable for me. We got together for a lot of bicycling for several years. I'll always remember that warm smile he had. For Deb, Jolene, Janene, and the rest of Kent's family, all the best to you, and I know it's going to be difficult to adjust to his loss.

Janene, Jolene and family. Sorry to hear of Kent’s passing and your loss. Although I didn’t know him at CP, I got to know him later. Glad that opportunity came along.

I am writing this for a long time patient of Dr. Willer's. JoAnne Mitchell wants the family to know that she owes her life to Dr. Willer. Back in 1975 he insisted she have a biopsy on a spot on her tongue. It was cancer and she went through treatment and is alive today she feels because of him!! She loved him as a dentist and as a person! Condolences to his family! She asked me to print this as she has no computer.

I worked with Dr. Willer as his hygienist for 32 years! So knew him pretty well! He was a kind, softspoken gentlemen! You couldn't have asked for a better boss, dentist, and friend! We had remained close since he retired. His family was everything to him! I loved him and will greatly miss him!!?

Kent was a friend and classmate of mine in the 1967 graduating class from the University of Iowa, College of Dentistry. Kent was a great guy and an excellent dentist. I referred patients to Kent when ever I had a patient move to Cedar Rapids from my practice in Burlington. I have not been in contact with Kent in recent years and I was sorry that he could not attend our 50th class reunion in 2017. Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. I pray that God will surround you and your family with love and care during this time of sorrow. I will notify the College of Dentistry of Kent's passing and also notify some of our classmates.
