I'm trying to contact a family member because a photo has turned up in a used file cabinet stuck in the back. It is of a young Mary E. Reid and if possible we'd like to return it to the family. If anyone from the family sees this please contact me at dicksiem@yahoo.com. Thanks!

Our family is sad to hear about Aunt Mary Ellen’s death. She is my Mom’s youngest sister. We have many good memories of her and her family. May she Rest In Peace.

Mary was a wonderful person and I will miss her on Sundays at church. Our families had some close connections with the growing up years at Linn Mar. You have a great family to which I give my sincere condolences.

Sandy and family, I was so sad to learn of Mary's passing. Your Mom had always been one of the sweetest people I ever knew. My favorite memory of your mom was an accident. I trained Ralph (dog) to "share" crackers with me. I was somewhat embarrassed when Ralph strode up to your mom while sitting on the floor and helped himself to her cracker as she moved the cracker to her mouth. I was no longer embarrassed when your Mom made a game of it. All of my best wishes to the entire family.. Kim (Vesey) Yerkes

Reid Family, Mary's friends at village Place are very sad about the loss of your mother. WE enjoyed getting to know Mary and really liked having her here. WE know she will be missed, but we also know she is at peace. Mary's friend, Susanne Haehlen

Mary and I go back a long time. We both played violin for several years at McKinley High School and later with the Marion Symphony. After she resigned as cub scout den mother, I followed in her footsteps. Mary has been a long time friend and neighbor whom I will always remember.

Reid family, your mom was a cousin to our sister in law, Nancy Stodola, our brother Bob Stodola's wife. Your mom & Nancy grew up together. Your dad introduced my sister Phyllis Stodola to her husband, Lloyd Oliver & they were all great friends. I am Mary (Stodola ) Mote, I knew your mom thru Bob & Nancy & Phyllis & Lloyd. I remember Sandy when we were kids, not the boys so much. Sorry for round about way of introducing myself but wanted to offer our condolences to all of you in the loss of your mom. She was a lovely lady & I know she will be missed. Unfortunately Phyllis & I are unable to attend the services tomorrow but wanted all of you to know you are in our thoughts & prayers. Mary (Stodola) Mote & Phyllis (Stodola ) Oliver

I am sorry to learn of your loss. Mary was a good friend and Hilltop Road neighbor. One of my fondest memories was when she, Dorothy Wolfe and I were members of the Marion Symphony Orchestra. We three would take our violins and head out for an evening of music. I won’t be able to attend Mary’’s services but my thoughts will be with you.

Mary, was a sweet lady, Tim and I enjoyed visiting with at church. She was always positive, sunny, and kind to all. She will be missed at 1st Presbyterian , Marion, Iowa.

Mary was the English Department secretary at Linn-Mar HS during the latter part of my years in the English Dept before I left for Illinois.
