Cathy, My sincere sympathy to you and your family with the loss of your husband, Marty. He was a genuinely nice man and I am happy I knew and worked with him. I hope your good memories will help you through this holiday season. I would like you to know that the Santa you gave me so many years ago has been a part of my Christmas decorating every year and it makes me think kind thoughts of you. Now more than ever.

I am so very sorry that Marty has passed away. He was a fine physician and fine gentleman. We had an excellent professional relationship. I feel we both sensed we would enjoy each other’s company in a social setting. I deeply regret that I failed to initiate contact and activities in the outside world. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy.

So sorry to read that Dr. Roach passed away! He did a hip replacement for me after I was in a car accident. My artificial hip is almost 30 years old! Needless to say, he was a very good doctor and very compassionate when he came to see me in the hospital while I was in traction for two and a half months! My Sincere sympathy to his family and friends!

My condolences to you, Cathy, and all your family. Marty was an awesome person. I worked with him as a physical therapist and appreciated the fact he wanted you to help him take care of the person, not just their problem. I had the opportunity to sail with him and you could see how much he enjoyed and valued that part of his life. I always enjoyed just visiting with him. I will miss those occasional crossings. Marty was cool. I shall always remember him.

So sorry to Heather and the entire Roach family for the passing of Dr. Marty. Our deepest sympathies, Eric, Maureen and family.

So very sad for all of you! We would see him come in the side door at IC at daily Mass! It always felt so good seeing him!!All these years we have loved knowing the Roach family! I know our Kathy will be one of the first to greet him! She loved the rides home from Notre Dame and the fun dinner stops on the way! He found time to make everything special! Fondly Gene and Sally Kopecky!
