Virginia Louise Smith,93, of Cedar Rapids passed away peacefully on Tuesday November 27, 2018. A visitation will be held on Monday, December 3, 2018 from 10:00 to 12:00 p.m. at the Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Virginia was born July 1, 1925 in Vici, Oklahoma to Walter J and Ida May Turner. On April 20, 1947 she married Garland Smith. She worked for Howard Hall at Brucemore. Virginia enjoyed cooking, embroidery and drawing. She will be greatly missed by those who loved to hear her play piano and sing.
Virginia is survived by her daughter Gloria (Lee) Wolfram of Washington; and two son’s Charles (Cathy) Smith and Billy Smith all from Cedar Rapids; 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, parents, a great-granddaughter, Carley and 12 siblings.
