I would like to extend my sympathy. I have such happy memories of both Mr. and Mrs. McBurney, two of my favorite teachers in Marengo. Thank you both. You made a difference in my life.

From the photos I can see that Bob had a great family and good friends. That is a life well lived. I am sure he will be very missed. Love and condolences, Kevin & Mitchie Floyd Family

You have our deepest sympathy. Bob and I started Taft at the same time. Saw him many times at the 42nd street donutland. He will be missed. Les and Diane Santee

Janice and family, Bob was one of the first people to welcome us to the Taft family many years ago. I can still remember him tapping those polished wingtip shoes in delight as we shared classroom stories daily in the teachers' lounge! Early on, he taught us that you needed 2 things if you wanted to be an educator---a thick skin and a sense of humor! We were blessed to have Bob as a mentor! Thinking of you, Terry and Linda

Mr. McBurney was a wonderful man and I enjoyed having him as my teacher at Taft. My thoughts are with your family at this difficult time.

I enjoyed having Mr. McBurney as a teacher at Taft in the 80s. My condolences to his family and friends.

Janice and family, my sincere sympathies are sent to you upon the passing of Bob. As a fellow teacher along with you and Bob at Iowa Valley I remember Bob as such a true gentleman, soft spoken and dedicated to the cause of education.--Marilyn Rodgers

Janice and family, May friends, memories of Bob and your love for him bring you peace. Janice, always remember the wonderful wife and caregiver you were to Bob. My sincere sympathy to your family. —DeAnn Shields
