I had the pleasure of living across the street from Darrel and his wife Jan for a few years at their winter home in Arizona. He was great fun to be around and always a gentleman. He was generous with both his time and his talents.. I spent many nights in his backyard around the fire ( or the Faare as he called it) sipping Sunnybrook Whiskey and listening to him tell stories. He was definitely one of a kind. He will be missed. My condolences to Jan and family.

Sorry to hear about Darrel's passing. I sure appreciated his influence as a young man in Troop 25. Troy, I still remember the BBALL tournaments he started as our fun raiser. I didn't wish paper drives, bottle drives, and the like. Sure enjoyed the monthly camping trips we were able to enjoy. A smart and dedicated man made that all possible. Thanks to your Dad and my thoughts are with you and your family.

Thinking of you guys and sending prayers your way. We will miss Darrel at the annual horse shoe tournament at the Lazy "T".

Darrel helped spearhead the Charter for Sunrise Rotary and he served as the Club's first president. I was proud to be a Charter Member with him. There was never a stranger in Darrel's presence and his sincere interest in others was one of his core traits. The world will be less fun without Darrel!

Jan, Troy and Shawn - My condolences on your loss. He was quite a guy. My memories of the time I knew him were so precious, he had a talent for touching so many people is so many great ways. I learned a lot from him, more than he knew. Truly a life well lived.

Jan and family - So sorry to read about Darrel. He was so outgoing, friendly and helpful to so many. He had a way to light up a room. Prayers for you and Darrel.

What can I say? Darrel will be missed by so many. Great one of a kind Man. Always made everyone laugh and feel welcome. Camp fires at the A Frame cabin with all us crazy kids years ago!.. So sorry for Your loss Berry Family. In our hearts and prayers.

Jan--Our deepest sympathies to you and your family. We will miss seeing Darrel at the Pizza Place on Friday nights. He had a way of drawing people to him with that infectious smile of his. Whenever he was there with his family and his "girls," it was so obvious how much he loved you all. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Troy, Penny, and family - Our deepest sympathy to you for the loss of Darrel. You’re in our thoughts and prayers. Much love to you.

To Troy & Penny, (and family) - praying God’s peace and comfort over you as you mourn and celebrate the life of your dad. What a gift he was to so many and a blessing to our community!

To the Berry family, our deepest condolences on Darrel's passing. I first met "Mr. Berry" as a young Boy Scout and he's remained "Mr. Berry" ever since, not because he wanted it that way but just the respect I've always felt for him. Having the opportunity to know him through business just reinforced that feeling. He will be missed, more than I'll ever know.

To Troy & Penny, (and family) - praying God’s peace and comfort over you as you mourn and celebrate the life of your dad. What a gift he was to so many and a blessing to our community!

The obituary says it all. It was a privilege and honor to have Darrel as a friend. He taught me a lot about business. He was a shining example of what every man should strive to be. If I were asked to describe Darrel with only one word it would be "GENUINE". He is a legend and will be missed by all who knew him.

To the Berry family, my heartfelt condolences. Though my time knowing Darrel was limited to the time I taught and coached his kids at Kennedy, I knew he was a good man. I remember the hospitality at their cabin in Delhi. I'm glad our paths crossed.

My loving thoughts and prayers to the Berry family. I have such fond memories of Darrel & Jan , coaching our son Brian in Metro Football, Kennedy Football games, Our Saviors Lutheran Church and Pheasants Forever. What a legacy Darrel has left. My deepest sympathy to the family

A salute to all that "positivity and courage" can achieve, and recognitions of the footprints that Darrel made. The obituary captures a life full of accomplishments in serving family and others. Darrel took tragedy and crafted a youth program that endures. Darrel was a force of determination that could be felt, no different than the sun on a welcoming beach. I only knew Darrel for a portion of his life and over 30 years ago, but I can still remember his energy and drive encapsulated in a friendly, positive demeanor. I hope that family and friends can pass through the morning and join to celebrate a life of generosity, enthusiasm and action. May smiles pierce the pain of loss as a life well-lived is remembered. May all the Angels, Saints, Holy men and Holy women welcome Darrel into God's arms for eternal rest in Grace. May God Bless the memory of Darrel Berry. And "SALUTE" to a remarkable fellow who shared and shared and shared.

Our deepest Sympathies to you all. A special note to Troy & Penny; the love & devoted care you gave to Darrel, as well as always making sure Jan was well cared for too, thru the difficult times Darrel & the family had to bear with his illness, was a loving insight to not only how well Darrel loved you but how well you loved him. Blessings to you all. ?

May the Berry family celebrate the life of a great man in Darrel. The BS of America and MYFootball will forever be grateful for his tireless efforts! RIP DB.

Darell was one of a kind. I've known Darrell for many years as family and buslnessman. Family came first and business was a game that he enjoyed with great success. With a positive attitude and a big smile he had many accomplishments that his family can be very proud of. Darrell was great friend and will be missed by all of us. Jim & Sue Dyer

Shane and I were babies at the time but connected years later in school. Darrel was a great man with a heart as big as his smile. Our sympathies to you all, Connie, Jerry, Jordan and Caden Snitker

To Janet and family, my deepest condolences to you all. Darrel was the sweetest guy. I loved seeing him at the Pizza Place at Lake Delhi. He would always jump up and help me get my dear sweet parents in the door with a smile on his face and a kiss for the ladies. Rest in peace and have one with Ron and Helen! Blessings to all.

Sending our deepest sympathies to Jan, Troy, Shawn and their families and friends. Darrel has always been a very special man and close friend to our Nylund family. There are many, many wonderful memories that we hold dearly in our hearts despite the miles between us. We pray that your special memories of Darrel also comfort you during this difficult time - he was the best of the best. Hugs and much love to the Berry’s!

The news of Darrel has caught my breath. Having met him in Sunrise Rotary, he was terrific at making you feel welcome. His wonderful positive energy and inclusion was a gift. He had a way of bringing you into the fold and making you feel as though you belonged. He will be greatly missed among our members. It was a pleasure to know him and because of him I know my own comfort zone has been challenged. Challenged in such a way, that now I lend another person the same kindness he showed to me consistently. I appreciated his willingness to serve and have fun doing so. Thank you, Darrel, for the lessons you extended to me. You have made your family proud!
