I worked for Bill for many years at Nash Finch in Cedar Rapids. He was one of the kindest, fairest people I ever knew. It was a pleasure working for him. I always enjoyed talking about the Iowa Hawkeyes with him. Bill called me up a few years years ago when he saw my picture in the paper for an anniversary and I really thought that was nice. My thoughts and prayers are for Bill and his family.

Ruth & family, seeing Bill's picture here reminds me of the constant smile he always had. Our families had so many wonderful times together. Your dad (and Ruth) were always so kind to us kids, and I loved him calling me “Sunshine”. Although he probably had many “Sunshine’s “ he always made me feel like I was special. My heart goes out to your entire family. I know how very much you will miss him, as will many others. I hope the wonderful memeories you have of him will warm your hearts. Much love.
