Memorial
Rosalie Averine Cole, 78, of Cedar Rapids passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 4th, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 5th, 2018 at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories.
Rosalie is survived by her children, Mark (Jarrett) Henderson of St Charles, MO; Dan (Lisa) Henderson of Alburnett, IA; and Terri Parris of North Liberty, IA; a stepson, Willie Cole (Kelly) of Dundee, IA; and stepdaughter Darcie Luxe of Cedar Rapids, IA; 20 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Rebecca Yirkovsky of Marion, IA; Rena Murphy; and Roxy (Paul) Appelby both of Cedar Rapids, IA and her special companion, her dog, Angel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William Cole, a great grandson Kenneth Regennitter, two sisters Raelene Wilcox and Roberta Bowen, two Brothers Richard Taylor and Raymond Taylor.
Rosalie was born September 14, 1940 in Moline, Illinois to Alan and Nellie (Yates) Taylor. Rosalie retired from Alliant Energy working in the mail room. She had previously worked for Kmart in Iowa City. Rosalie loved spending time with her family especially her children and grandchildren. Rosalie was happiest when she was attending activities with her grandchildren. She loved camping and spending time at their cabin before her retirement. Rosalie also loved traveling all over the country including trips to Wisconsin, Las Vegas, Florida and California.
