Ah, Dr. Eganhouse. That great man saved all of our smiles, as all seven of us had to have braces when we were young. He was a consummate professional and would always talk to us about how various procedures would help our teeth and how all of our facial bones would move. He was a fascinating man yet always very kind. My condolences to all of his family these eight years later. I will never forget him and shall add him to my Mass list.

Dear Barb and family, It is with much sadness that we heard of Gerry's passing. We had just returned to Fort Myers on Wednesday and I was about to give Gerry a call, when I heard from Tom Choate today of Gerry's death. Our Iowa Class of 63 contingent in Fort Myers will be sadly missing Gerry's smiling face when we meet for our breakfasts on Wednesdays at Perkin's restaurant. Rest assured we will continue to carry on in Gerry's memory with many great memories of his wonderful life and contributions to the betterment of all who came in contact with him. Our prayers for comfort and peace will be lifted up for all of your family Lee and Judy Bomgaars

God speed Dr. Eganhouse. To all the Eganhouse family; my sincere condolences.

My condolences to all the Eganhouse family. It sounds as though he was an incredible man. I knew his brother Merton and son Steve and it seems as though that's what the Eganhouse family grows. Strong , community minded Catholic men. What a gift from the Lord. His soul and family will be on the prayer chain at St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Brooklyn Park Mn.

The Eganhouse family, I appreciate knowing and having had Gerry as a dear friend. I had the utmost respect for his professional life and his business acumen. I will miss our bi-monthly breakfasts to discuss any and all world affairs. I have lost one of my best friends and one of the finest people I know. To the Eganhouse family, you have my most sincere sympathy. Clair Lensing

Thinking of you all as I read this sad news this morning. I just ran into him a couple of months ago after he'd had a haircut in my building. We spent a great deal of time together as I was a patient of his in the early 90's. He wrote a presentation on my bite and its possible connection to problems I had with my knees. We spent time with oral surgeons, dental classes at the University of Iowa and other types of dentists to find the best fix for me. He presented my case at a national convention and took his staff with him for support. After that I was the "Elvis" of the building, "That's her!" I'd hear them whisper while I was in for my checkups. I had one daughter who also got the meticulous and friendly Eganhouse orthodontic service. He will always be a friend of mine in spite of the occasional discomfort he caused me! May he rest in peace and the memory of him soothe his family and friends and bring a smile to their faces.

Barb and Family, Brett and Lindsay along with Servpro of Cedar Rapids would like to express our deepest sympathy with you all. We have known Gerry on a personal level as well as a working relationship. Gerry was a wonderful man with a smart mind and caring attitude. He is in God's arms now! Thinking and praying for the entire family. With Love, Brett and Lindsay Kellogg and the entire Servpro of Cedar Rapids Team
