Joel & family of Ruth, I am sad to hear of the passing of Ruth. We were friends in high school in Alpha! I had wanted to see her over the years but it never seemed to work out! I still have memories of the good times we had together! Priscilla (Jarchow) Reisner

Joel, Please accept my late condolences on the passing of your mother. Being able to talk to Aunt Ruth prior to my fathers funeral was, after so many years, truly a joy. Sincerely, Mike(Marv,Lois)

Joel, You are in my thoughts and prayers!! May you find comfort and peace knowing how proud your mom was with You. Your folks are once again together. Love always, Kim

I enjoyed getting to know Ruth during the short time she was at West Ridge. My maiden name is Gaede and my dad and his family are all originally from Sumner so we talked a lot about that and how we were possibly related through Ralph. She was a sweet lady and I am glad I got the chance to meet her. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Joel and family of our dear friend, Ruth........I've been so sorry these last couple of years to live so far away in western Iowa. My heart would break as I longed to be sitting by Ruth's side. Every day she was in my thoughts and prayers and I am so grateful we are promised the gift of eternal life, where she is now happy and smiling by Ralph's side. I long to see them someday, where we can share a sweet treat, a good cup of coffee, and the visiting will never need to end. I will be giving a memorial in her name to our Animal Rescue in Carroll, Ia. We had many visits about our animals. May God bless you all.

Joel, and Ruth's brothers, I'm deeply sorry for dear Ruth's demise. I tried in vain to get a hold of her by phone and her e-mail address when she told me that she moved. She and Ralph were my husband Bob and my friends. I used to bring DVDs for them to enjoy and Ruth and I attended Thursday forums at Coe College. I will always remember her fondly. May she rest in peace.

Joel, We are sorry for your loss. We knew your parents when they lived in Alden,IA and you were just a little boy. Walt taught Industrial Arts there while your dad taught Art. We have a lovely framed picture of one of the cards your dad drew one Christmas. I have it out every year and think of those days there. When you moved to Marion we felt a real loss as they were good friends. We still have an art work ( a clown)of Ralph's that hung in the hall of the condo in Alden. Yes, we lived in that condo after you and your folks moved out. We kept in touch and when we moved to CR i n 1966, Ralph and Ruth came to help us unload the truck and get settled in. Our Susan was born in Iowa Falls. She was 2 then. Walt taught at Jefferson and worked in the school system for many years in various positions. I subbed in t he system for over 25 years. We sort of got busy and lost touch but we did have a letter from Ralph several years ago. I'll bet we still have it. He was not well then. We would like to hear from you and let us know where you are living and what you have done with life. Are you artistic? Your parents were great people. Wish there were more like them. In harmony, Colleen Hartman

Joel, Ralph and Ruth were wonderful neighbors to us for many years. She enjoyed the outdoors as much as we did. Cris and I will always remember her wonderful garden and friendly hello. People don't seem as close as neighbors anymore in our world. We and our family grew up with both your parents. We are thinking of you in this time of sadness, and wish you peace. Daniel and Cris Cosman Family

Joel; Sorry to learn of your Mothers passing. Your memories of her are a cherished treasure. Denny

What a wonderful person, you'll be missed Ruth.
