Terrye, Thanks so much for letting me know about your dad. Know that I'm praying for you and your family and we will have lunch as soon as things settle down a bit for you. I'm so sorry! Barb

Nancy, I was saddened to hear of your husband's passing and my sympathies to you and your family. I live at the Cedar Apartments and got acquainted with you there and have known you for the past eight years. Again, am sorry about your loss. Teresa @ # 102

Terrie sorry to here about your dad's passing.

Nancy and girls, What a great husband and Dad you have had with so many fond memories too. I can still hear and remember Don's laugh and his continuous smile he always had. It was a pleasure to have known him. Tracy Arey

Jackie, we are so sorry to hear of your loss. You & your family are in our thoughts & prayers. We enjoyed meeting your father in Mt. Vernon at a couple of events. He was a very kind person. We wish you peace in every happy memory you cherish. In sympathy, Larry & Jo Myers

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at your time of loss. My father Eugene Dyrland always thought highly of Don and said what a great Coworker Don was while they served at Iowa Electric for those many years. Peace to you.

Nancy, My condolence to you and your family on the death of Don. He was very friendly and I enjoyed talking to him when we were bowling in the same league. With my sympathy, Virgil Newhouse

At this sad time, it is so comforting to recall all of the fun times we had in the past. Don would want us to chuckle as we think back to the many times at our cottages through the years. I will always remember waking up to "The Star-Spangled Banner" on your radio alarm and the both of you heading to work in his super cool 1953 red Chevy ragtop. And then there were the badminton and croquet games, and no one could hit a softball farther than Don could. Remember Ante, Ante Over the pumphouse roof? Our spectacular Fourth Of July fireworks shows with sparklers in the trees and cherry bombs under the cow pies, and the fun with "Uncle Lu's" pontoon bicycle......what marvelous memories!! Our family Christmas Eve dinners when we rotated houses and drew names for gifts, and the coconut-covered ice cream snowballs for dessert...priceless good times!! Don was a great member of our family, and all of his many fine traits are reasons why he was one of my favorite cousins. My sincerest sympathy to you Nancy, your girls, and their families, too. --Cousin Cinda

I am so sorry to hear about Don's passing. I have such found memories of your family and the time we spent together when I was growing up. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Lori (Breidert) Gobeli

Nancy, Terrye, Jackie and Deann, We're so sorry to learn of Don's passing but are also thankful he no longer suffers. Our thoughts and prayers for comfort surround you and your families at this time. Both of us remember the many family times spent at the 'cabin' where we shared lots of fun playing softball and horseshoes as well as the many holiday picnics. May each of you find peace as you share memories of him with family and friends, Linda and Dick

Deann and family, I was saddened to hear about your dad passing. Thinking of you, sweetie. Pat Stacy
