It was my great privilege to write several newspaper stories about Taylor's struggle and the good people of Eastern Iowa and beyond who rallied to support her and your family. Please know that I will always remember you and Taylor, what you went through together and the great strength that kept you going. Taylor is at rest and peace now, free from all illness. I didn't know Taylor, but I wanted to express my sincerest sympathies to her family and friends. I visited IA City Hospital with the Capaldo family and they stopped in to see Taylor. In the waiting room, I met her two best friends, who obviously loved Taylor like they would a sister. I also know, from my friends, how much the other children's oncology families cared about her too. What an impact she must have had on so many. You have been in my prayers and will continue to be.
