I had a special place in my heart for her. She and I met when I worked at walmart. She eventually talked me into getting the gastric bypass surgery and we had great times swimming at YMCA. I lost touch with her after I quit Walmart and she will truly be missed. Please contact me and let me know what happened to her. I love and miss her very much. She was a great support.

I remember LuLu as a lovely little girl who would come to our Villa Park house for cookies when Alex worked for the Sawyer cookie factory. She grew up to be a beautiful women, thoughtful loving , caring,I will always remember our laughing and joking, she was always a happy person. I love you LuLu Aunt Rachel

I met Lucille at a bible study I was hving at a close neighbor of hers. She quickly impressed me with her insight and love for the scriptures. She was a righteous womaan who lived her life according to what God wanted in her life. I will miss you dear lady for your conversation and devotion to the Lord. You were truly a blessing in my life and to those around you. My prayers for comfort for the family of such a good Christian woman. God Bless you all. Bobby and Carol Carnahan

We have wonderful memories of Aunt LuLu. She had the best laugh and the most beautiful smile. Many great conversations at Carrero Family Christmas Eve's. My most precious memory is the one holiday gathering when my boys had questions about their faith and how intently they listened to her. I did not join the conversation, letting that be between them, and I know she explained things in a beautiful caring way. I can still picture the three of them sitting there talking. My husband Mike also has his dance moves named from LuLu. He does the "truck driver", and LuLu led the way on the dance floor trying to mimick him at Heinz and Christa's wedding! We loved her very much and we will miss her so. Our deepest sympathy to all who grieve for LuLu, expecially to her children and grandchildren. Love Mike, Eileen, Michael, Ryan and Rachael

Although we can not be at the Memorial Service, know that our prayers and support and love are with you. Lulu had such a full heart, may all hearts be filled by her memory.

Mark and family: So sorry to hear about your mother. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time.

With Deepest Sympathy,

Aunt Lulu - I was so happy when you found me on facebook. You always had such sweet things to say. I'll always remember when you told my boyfriend to hurry up and put a ring on my finger on Christmas Eve... how did you know he was the one I would eventually marry?!? I loved the way you used to just come out and "say it!" Love you, Aunt Lulu! I know you're safe and at peace now in Heaven.

My sympathies and prayers to the entire family during this difficult time. She loved her family and the Lord.

So sorry for your loss. Lucille was a wonderful lady. We have great memories of her that we will hold onto. Will always remember her beautiful smile and willingness to help others.

Your mother has left a wonderful legacy in her beautiful children & grandchildren. She has touched all of our lives in many ways. You are all in my thoughts at this time and always.

Reading over the guest book, you can see how loved Lulu was and how she'll be missed by her friends and beloved family. I still have her recipe for German Chocolate Cake. Whenever I look in my recipe box I think of her. Mrs. Carrero, Maryann and Family, please know that you are in our thoughts and hearts at this difficult time.

Lulu, my beloved big sister. My childhood memories with you I will always hold forever. Everyone remembers your baking abilities, you should have been a famous pastry chef. You left us far too early and I was never able to get your famous recipe for LuLu's Lemon Meringue Pie. Although we lived many miles from one another we always knew we where just a phone call away. I will truly miss our early and late night phone calls, what a joyous feeling that gave me as you always ended each and every call with "I love you Jimmy". I will miss your loving voice always there to give me advice, laugh and cheer me up. Although it will only be for a little while, I look forward to seeing and talking with you once again in the Kingdom of Heaven. You left us with your wonderfull children Sarah, Mark, Mathew, Laura, Aaron and your late beloved son Nathan who now is at your side. We can now celebrate your life with them and their children. Live well now Lulu, no more pain, illness and suffering I have no doubt that you are now healed. I love you my dear sister, I will see you again soon.

Your loving brother Jimmy, Dawn, Morgan and Austin Carrero....

With deepest sorrow I offer you my thoughts and prayers. May she rest in peace,

Bro Matthew & Sis Becca and family. Jesus has his arms wrapped around each of you in this passing of your dear mother, and friend. She was always smiling and laughing. Our prayers are with the entire Johnson family.

Aunt LuLu you held such a special place in my heart. You were always there with such beautiful smile and always there to show your love and support. I Love you very much I will always remember the time you spent teaching me your egg roll recipe and what a wonderful time I had with you that day.
Love you forever you were and Angel from heaven!

Our hearts are with you.

My memories of us will be forever, my aunt Lucille will always be in my heart.

My most fond memory of Lucille is when she cooked a huge mexican dinner for my whole family after my mom passed away. I remember she had been in her kitchen for hours. It was such a difficult time for us and for her to show us so much love was incredible. She was so kind and loving.

I also remember a few months ago she called here when Jessica and Mark were here and I answered the phone, the first thing she wanted to do was for me to put her on speaker so she could talk to Benjamin. He responded with enthusiastic "words" as he heard her voice! What a great Grandma she was! She will be missed greatly!

Aunt Lulu, you so inspired me as a survivor, and you taught me that I could be one, too. I will always cherish the talks we had and the honesty you gave me, not to mention your wonderful sense of humor. Your legacy will live on in your children and grandchildren; all the good that you instilled in them will never fade, and though you are gone from this earth you will never be far from us in spirit. I look forward to seeing you again someday and once again dancing to "We Are Family", and of course, our theme song by Queen! Only this time, we'll dance with Nathan and Jerry, too.

Love always,
Nikki

My thoughts are with my good friend Maryann at this time. The heartache of the loss of a sibling. Prayers to you and your family Maryann in this time of mourning.

MaryAnne and Family, You are in the thoughts and prayers of many here in Chicago.

Friend of MaryAnn

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Lulu turned me onto health foods via her little farm in Iowa, back so long ago. First time I met her INSERT INTO guestbook VALUES (Maryann and I came to visit) she was baking a german chocolate cake INSERT INTO guestbook VALUES (flour ground fresh from wheat berries). One night during the visit, Lulu and I stayed up until 4am -- talking -- both having a propensity for conversation. I learned so much from her and will always be grateful for the experience.

We all leave a footprint here on earth, a signature of sorts and although life is short, it's a comfort knowing our loved ones made a difference. Lulu did so for me.

I loved to cook with my grandma and play Old Maid with her. She was a great grandma! I love her and I will miss her, but I will always have her in my heart.

Matthew, Rebecca, Abriah, Jace, and the Johnson family,

We are so very sorry for your loss. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We are praying that you are comforted by God's Spirit and the warm memories you have of your mother and grandmother.

You are loved.

MaryAnn & Family, You are in the thoughts and prayers of many here in Chicago during such a sad time.
sadly,
Richard

Matthew, Mark, Aaron and
Sara,
You were tremendously blessed with a Mother who loved and cared for you so deeply. Because of her, I became a Christian. I will always remember how she praised and worshiped our Savior, whom she loved deeply. She is absent from her body, but present with her Dear Lord and your precious brother.

I have lot's of memories of the "Niffen" and "Johnson" family spending time together. It amazed me the commitment your mother had to get all you guys ready and drive all the way from Iowa to go to church in Hannibal every Sunday. Her warm heart, big smile and love for people made your Mom someone who will never be forgotten by those who knew her. I am so sorry for your loss Matt, Becca, Abriah, Jace and all the rest of the Johnson family. Your in my heart and prayers. Wish I could be there for you. Theresa

We love you Mamacita...you lived life to the fullest and always had the most beautiful smile. You will be greatly missed.

Lulu you're leaving a void behind in the Carrero family, the 1st of us sisters to leave this earthly planet to join our brother Jerry and Dad. You're also joining one of the most precious things in your life, your dear son Nathan. I know you, Nathan and Jerry are living it up now just as the three of you always did when you were around us, the life of the party. It was my honor to witness your passing along with your other precious ones, Sarah, Aaron, Mathew and Mark. You leave behind some of the most caring, compassionate and wonderful children who carry with them your attributes and everything you taught them. Any struggles and worries you had are over now. You'll be missed by us all.

Matt & Rebecca & all Family members..

Our prayers and thoughts are with you during this time.

My precious friend Lucille. So special & so real. Her laughter, her smile, she made our long talks worth the while. She was sent from God above to show me the greatness of the Saviour's love. She gave of herself in many ways...even the stranger by the way. I'll always remember & treasure the moments we shared, laughed, & prayed. My dearest Lucille, I envy you so, no more troubles, no more woes. No more fears of being alone for now you stand before our Saviour's throne. He called for you - and someday for me. I'll be there soon...you wait and see. Save my place right next to you...at His feet, where we will meet. All my love, my dearest friend...until then :) Jeannie
