I am on the JFK Class of 1992 reunion committee and this month I was helping to plan our 15-year reunion; Brent was on my list to contact. When I couldn't locate him, I asked around and was shocked to learn Brent had passed away 3 years ago! I wish I had known then so I could have been there to pay my respects. I knew Brent in high school. He was quiet, seemingly shy, but a genuinely nice guy. I am sorry for your loss and we will pay tribute to him on our reunion website.

Brent was my best friend, and all of us miss him very much.

sorry to hear about your loss.i use to be a fishing buddy.Brent and i would hang out at Palo for hours.he was a great friend and will be missed.you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I went to high school with Brent. Brent was an awesome guy. He was very kind and he will be sorely missed. I had the opportunity to get to know him further recently. He was a good friend and he would always conversate with anyone. I always admired his kind spirit and willingness to help others, and he was always especially helpful to the band Whale Boy. We will miss him very much.

Brent will always be in my heart he was one of my boy's.
Please except my condolences and deepest sympathies.

I've been friends with Brent since I can remember. I think we were just five when we first met. The amount of memories that we have together is even too much for words. I could say how sorry I am and so on but I want everyone to know what Brent brought to my life. Playing with playdo while our Grandmothers visited when at 5 yrs. old. Camping in his mom's back yard and talking about girls we liked at 10. we never stopped doing that.Seeing The Karate Kid and thinking we are Ralph Machio at 13. not sure if we stopped doing that either.Cruzen' tha Ave. at 16.Dont let his mom know Playing pool in his basement and giving him a hard time about how "hot" his mom is at 16. Dont let his mom know that either Brents been there for just about everything I've ever done. Even though we would fall in and out of contact just like friends do. I could go on and on because Brent is always there for me. Thats who he is. None of us out there could hold ourselves to the standard he sets of being a friend. So move passed what we've lost and do as Brent would do..cherish and celebrate what we've had.

Brent was the heart of Whaleboy. He kept the love and the peace for everyone in all circumstances. Sometimes I think the heart is too good and the world too bad that one is overcome by the other. Brent was such a good person with such a good heart, it was hard to live in a world of pain and suffering. God bless his heart and may we learn to live with love and not be ruined by the cold things in the world that surrounds us.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Ryan family at this very sad time. We will always remember Brent. With deepest sympathy. Pat and Lu Ann

Brent was one of my favorites of Jason's friends. He always had time to stop and chat. When I last saw him he and I had a good visit in the middle of the HyVee. He always asked about "Grandma" and the rest of the family and seemed to enjoy visitng with me. I will miss his wonderful smile. Though nothing can ease the pain of his loss, please know my thoughts and prayers are with you all and I am so sorry for your loss.

Jack/Jackie and Jenny/Ken:
