Mark Anthony Worden, 65, of North Liberty, passed away February 2, 2026. Visitation will be held from 4-6 PM, Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel Stateroom. Inurnment will be in Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories Mausoleum.
Mark was born on April 28, 1960, in Slayton, MN, the son of Alvin Edward and Bernice (Haberman) Worden. He graduated from Iowa City High School in 1978. Mark was united in marriage to LuAnn Sue Thomson in Coralville, IA. He retired from DA Bunch Company in Cedar Rapids, IA in 2022. Mark’s hobbies included fishing, hunting, and camping. He also enjoyed woodworking and loved his animals. Mark loved life and will be missed dearly. Mark will be remembered as kind, loving, sensitive, fun, and a jokester
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, LuAnn and his beloved dog Viola; siblings, Richard (Gloria), Roger (Phyllis), Kathleen Richardson, Thomas, David (Julie), Mary Morrill (Jim), and Charles (Ursula); siblings-in-law, Delien Worden, Sandy Wells Thomson (Walter Wells), Leslie Hoover, and Bill Thomson (Karen). Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; siblings, Ronald, Theodore, Janet Sanderson, Daniel, Robert, and James; siblings-in-law, Robert Richardson, Darla Worden, Dale Sanderson, Nancy Worden, Bill Hoover, and Bob Thomson; nephew, Alan Worden.
