Wade C. Ramsey Jr. passed away on September 15, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital due to complications after receiving a replacement valve.  Wade passed peacefully surrounded by family.

Wade is survived by his wife, Sharon, of 45 years; his daughter, Mary Jo, of Fort Bliss, TX; his son, James Ramsey (Carla), of Atlanta, GA; and his daughter, Sherri White, of Marion, IA. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, and daughter.

Wade graduated from Lee Edwards High School in Asheville, NC. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Air Force for 21 years, and received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from UNO in Omaha, NE.   He continued as a defense contractor for Offutt Air Force Base until his retirement.

Wade was a renaissance man; his range of interests ran from several painting mediums and musical instruments, including violin, banjo, piano, guitar, and harmonica. His outdoor activities included hiking and backpacking, rock climbing, fishing, cycling, and volksmarches. He and Sharon were members of the Country Kickers Dance Club in Omaha, NE.

He had extensive knowledge of history and of religions. He was on the “do not knock” list for some religions.”  He was ardent about attending Bible studies at the church.

His last few years were limited by his wife’s illness and his health issues, but his love and trust in God did not waver.  Wade will be greatly missed by family and friends. His quest for answers will be continued.
