Memorial
Funeral services and a Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024, at 11:00 am in The Bayou Church in Lafayette, Louisiana, for Jeffrey Lynn High, age 60, who passed away from cancer at his residence in Duson surrounded by his family and friends on Thursday, September 5, 2024.
The family requests that visitation be observed at The Bayou Church, 2234 Kaliste Saloom Rd, Lafayette, Louisiana, on Monday, September 16, 2024, from 9:00 am until time of services, 11:00 am. Reverend Sean Walker will officiate at the services.
An additional Funeral Service and Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 11:00 am in Christ Community Church in Marion, Iowa, with visitation from 10:00 am until time of services. Pastor Becky High will officiate. Burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, following the services.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 40 years, Diann Davis High; his daughters, Rio Lynn High and Ronni Rae High; his mother, Jane High; his brother, Phillip High, Jr., and his wife, Becky; his sister, Katheryne Levin, his sister-in-law Denise Krenz, his brother-in-law Doug Davis and his wife Sumiyo, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Philip High, Sr., and his brother-in-law, Stephen Levin.
Jeff High was a loving husband, father, inventor, entrepreneur, friend, and mentor to many. He had a deep love for God and spread joy and enthusiasm for life wherever he went.
As the founder of Gemvision, Jeff revolutionized the jewelry industry. His entire career was dedicated to inventing, designing, and creating CAD/CAM and photography technology for jewelry designers. He was a true visionary and mentor, helping businesses around the world thrive.
In 2012, Jeff and his family moved from Bettendorf, Iowa, to Lafayette, Louisiana. He became the Chief Innovation Officer at Stuller, where he continued to drive innovation in the jewelry industry on a global scale.
In 2014, Jeff and his wife opened Dianna Rae Jewelry, showcasing his technology and designs. Together, in 2024, they received the prestigious America’s Coolest Jewelry Store Award.
After selling Gemvision, Jeff retired at the age of 51 and devoted his time to serving others. He used his remarkable gifts and talents to invent, design, and create for local businesses, non-profits, and friends. He had a passion for mentoring and inspiring others, always encouraging them to excel in their careers and achieve success in business.
