My son and my daughter both had June as a teacher and mentor at LMHS and I was blessed to call her a friend. Thank you June, for all of the ways that you touched the students that you taught....you were so much more than a teacher....you made a real difference in their lives. My condolences to Bob, Katie, Erich and their families. She loved and was so proud of all of you.

From both of us, we send our thoughts & sympathy to Bob and his family during this time of loss. May the Lord be with you, may HE give comfort, strength & peace thru this journey of life. We remember June for her "happy spirit, her smile & love for people". Blessings to Bob & family. Steve & Connie Russell

I am so sorry about your loss. Mrs. Schmidt was a teacher I had never forgotten, and always enjoyed seeing her smiles at church. She has made huge difference in so many lives. I know she is singing away in heaven while she is waiting for us to join her.

We were so sad to hear about June's illness and death. Her obituary put it so well. She is a walking picture of Jesus and His love for people. Always a smile, always overflowing with grace and kindness, June is missed. We look forward to that great day when we will get to see her again. We pray that the Lord gives Bob and the rest of her family His comfort and peace!

I had Mrs. Schmidt when I was in school at Shellsburg High. She encouraged all of us to “sing a good song” and gave us confidence in ourselves. She was a positive person with an infectious smile. I feel very blessed to have her as a part of my life. My condolences to the entire family.
