Matt and Elizabeth, I am so shocked and sad to learn of your dad's death. Your dad was in a group that all "hung out" together back in law school and I was part of that group. I remember vividly when he met your mom he was so smitten it was fun to watch such a big guy be swept off his feet by such a tiny doll. They were both fun to be around and loved each other deeply. Your dad did so much community service and service to the law school. He always had time for old friends. He was such a superstar genius in law school and a great, great lawyer. The day I heard of his death I looked outside and there was a huge ray of sunshine shining through the window practically blinding me. I said, that is Ray. He will be missed by all of us who were with your mom and dad "back in the day." Sending much, much love to you!

Elizabeth and Matt, There are no words to heal the unexpected loss of your Dad. I had the luck of speaking with Ray last week after he made a generous gift to Kids First Law Center. He was so proud to tell me all about his grandson. Ray understood the profound importance of advocating for children—not just his own, but their friends and children he never met. Kids First is honored to be part of Ray’s legacy of compassion, generosity, and unwavering support for children. With deepest gratitude and sympathy, Sarah
