Joanne Jean Jones LeGrand, 91, passed away September 6, 2023. A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 9 at Sharon United Methodist Church, Cedar Rapids, with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Norway Cemetery, Norway, Iowa.
Joanne was born August 6, 1932, in Hale, Iowa, to Clifford and Alvena (Ahrendsen) Jones. She graduated from Olin Consolidated High School in 1950. In 1954, she married Willard LeGrand in Olin. She worked at Welch-Cook-Beals Co. and Wapsi Valley Creamery before staying home to raise her family.
Joanne is survived by her children, Patty Pike, Vicky (Joe) Podzimek, and Dan LeGrand; grandchildren, Kristy (Mike) Mussig, Bryan Podzimek and Michael (Michaela) Podzimek; great grandson, Collin Mussig. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings, Howard Jones, Hilma Jones Wilcox and Larry Jones; grandson, Andrew Podzimek and son-in-law, Ric Pike.
