Troy V. Espe, 59, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at home surrounded by family. A visitation will be held on Wednesday October 25, 2023, 3:00-6:00 pm, at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, a service will follow the visitation at 6:00 pm.
Troy was born on May 30, 1964 to Heinz and Helen (Portus) Espe in Waratah, Australia. He grew up in Australia before moving to the United States in 1993 to join his now business partner Ron Haigh in buying Adams Tile & Stone. He was united in marriage to Jeanette Tallman on May 04, 2002.
Troy was a devoted father and husband for over 21 years. He enjoyed many things including golf, Formula 1 racing, NASCAR, and spending time with his close friends. Troy attended his daughters dance recitals every year and frequently played a round of golf with his son Jack at Meadowview in Central City, IA. When Troy wasn’t with his family, you would find him busy on a job making beautiful masterpieces ranging from bathrooms to kitchen backsplashes, his clients were big supporters of Troy and would frequently call him for more jobs.
Troy is survived by his wife Jeanette, his daughter, Macy, his son Jack, his mother, Helen of Australia, his brothers, Clint and Jason of Australia, and his sister, Lara of Australia.
He was preceded in death by his son, Maximillian, and his father Heinz.
