I am so sorry for the loss of Allison. I wondered why I hadn't seen any posts from her in a while or comments. She was one of my TREASURED teachers at MMU, and we aligned quite nicely on FB. :) She wrote one of my letters of recommendation for law school. She was brilliant and passionate. The world is a little bit dimmer now.

I join several girls from Highland Baptist in remembering her beautiful voice. As teenagers, we were constantly together on trips to other church's to put on performance's and Allison was as funny as she was beautiful. I know my parents were please to see her when she crossed over. Mom just adored her.

Allison was my secretary when I was a pastor. She kept me laughing. She was an amazing storyteller, which made her a great history teacher. When I lived in Iowa City, I would visit her several times a month - mainly to listen to her stories and pet the dogs. I was good friends with one of her favorite dogs, Molly. She always asked me to pray for her. I said her prayers were just as good as mine. She didn’t think so. Although I’ve only seen her a few times in the last decade - I followed her on Facebook from Florida - I have included her in my daily family prayers - because she has been like family to me. I continue to include her, although I miss her in this world.

I have never been a big fan of history and was quite anxious about having to take History of Modern America at MMU. I loved the class! There were so many PowerPoints, it was a little overwhelming at times. But there was so much good information in these PowerPoints and she inserted her sense of humor. The humor helped me get through the work and actually learn something. I really enjoyed her class.

Allison has been a good friend to me since I was a teenager at Highland Baptist church in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was beautiful, talented, and had a great sense of humor. I will certainly miss her, and carry her and her memories in my heart!

Although it has been years since we were colleagues, I remember Allison as a highly dedicated teacher. She willing share with me her knowledge of Power-point. I extend my deepest sympathy to her family and friends. Joseph R. Givvin, Ph. D. Professor Emeritus of Philosophy Mount Mercy University

Allison was my co-worker, my professor and my friend. I will miss her laugh, quick wit and stories about students, friends and her fur babies. My sympathies to her family. She will be missed by many. - Connie Snitker and family

I remember what a beautiful singing voice Allison had and the fun we had in choir at Highland Baptist. Her sense of humor was infectious. She always greeted me by saying “Hi Jean, how’s health?” I’ll be praying for comfort and peace for your family. Jean Petrey Rowell

I was a non-traditional student in 2002. Allison's teaching style fit very well with the way I liked to learn so I looked forward to each of her classes. Her enthusiasm while giving her lectures inspired me to treat history not just as dates and times but as real-life experiences of the people at the time. This is a gift of learning that I carried with me the rest of my life. Thank you, Allison!

I have many fond memories of being in the youth choir, going on choir trips and camps with Allison during high school days through our church. She was always quick to laugh and a friend always willing to listen and lend a helping hand. My condolences to Hilliard and the rest of the family. You will be in my thoughts and prayers in the days ahead.

My condolences to the family and friends of Prof. McNeese. I was a student of Prof. McNeese in 2019. She had so many fun stories that made a Gen Ed history class much more enjoyable. She also cared deeply about her students. I enjoyed her class.
