Memorial
Marianne J. Post, 91, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday February 18, 2023. Services: 3:00 p.m. Saturday February 25, 2023, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, where a visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. until service time. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include her son Jeff, her daughter, Jamie (Chris) Dake, her grandson, Zachary Dake, granddaughter, Allison Dake and great-granddaughter, Aspen Dake. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Post, her sister, Carol Floyd and brother-in-law, Clark Floyd.
Marianne was born on April 22, 1931, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and a graduate of Marion High School. Shortly thereafter, Marianne started her career at the Cedar Rapids Gazette as a sales representative. Her career culminated with her retirement in 1995. She married David Post on July 10, 1954, in Marion, Iowa. She always thought of others before herself. Marianne loved playing Bingo, shopping, and eating out at her favorite place, Culvers. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
