It was our privilege to have Melanie as our daughter’s piano teacher for several years when she was in middle school and high school. Melanie was such a kind and welcoming woman. We were welcomed into her home and lovely world. She was an amazing piano teacher and really challenged our daughter. We want to send our sincere sympathy to her family and thank them for sharing her with us. May God bless her.

Charles, Kara and Kaye. My condolences on your loss. I only met her a couple of times during RAGBRAI but could tell she was a fine and caring person. I’m sure these are difficult times, but think of the great memories you and the family created. They are ever-lasting. May peace be with you all.

Charles, Kara, and Kate; Melanie was a joy as a neighbor and piano teacher. She was always proud of all your accomplishments, and eager to “catch up”. She shared her love of piano with Laura and her influence lives on as Betty (Laura’s 8 year old) is taking lessons - the younger two also love music. May your memories bring you peace as you celebrate her life.

I felt the presence Melanie through her husband, who’s a very gentle man. Charles cares greatly about teaching his students at the university of Iowa. I knew there was a person behind him that helped find their way through life. They meet at Disneyland and what a great E-ticket to life they must have had. Charles I’m sorry for your loss and for your children I have not yet met.

Kate, We were so sorry to read of the passing of your mother. Please know you are on our hearts, on our minds, and in our prayers. Melanie sounds like such an awesome person and we know she will be dearly missed. Love and condolences to all, Russ and Kathy Telecky
