Darlene L. Beck, 85, of Hiawatha, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Terrace Glen Nursing Home. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 from 9:30-10:30 AM at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories with a service beginning at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Hiawatha.
Darlene was born July 7, 1937 to Folmer and Leona (Carl) Nielsen in Harlan, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Charles Beck on October 21, 1960 in Omaha, Nebraska. Darlene was a homemaker her whole life. She enjoyed bowling, sewing, and spending time with friends and family.
She is survived by her husband, Charles; son, Michael (Jodi) of Center Point; 2 grandchildren, Tyler Beck and Ashlee (Justin) Wyant both of Center Point; 2 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers, Ronald and Gene Nielsen.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the family.
