Donald Wilbur Reed, 82, of Marion, Iowa passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at UnityPoint St. Luke’s Hospital. Per his wishes he was cremated and there will be no services.
Donald Wilbur Reed was born on March 4, 1940, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the son of Gerald and Mildred (McArthur) Reed. He was united in marriage to Lydia Schneider on November 13, 1971, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Donald was a retired truck driver, former farmer, and mechanic. He enjoyed the outdoors, watching wildlife, Horsemanship, Rodeo, fishing in Minnesota lakes, gardening, and snow birding in Florida for the winter!
Donald is survived by his spouse, Lydia; two sons, Michael (Carmen) Reed, and Anthony (Susan) Reed; a daughter, Heidi Culver; his sister, Karen Alt; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; all residents of Iowa. Preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; Sharon, Shirley, Joyce; and a son, Rick; and grandson, Mikey.
