Donald Dean Vanous, 78, born July 28, 1944, died on Monday September 5th, 2022.Don was raised by his parents Leo and Francis Vanous and moved to Peoria, IL in 1979. Don worked for Rock Island Railroad and Dover Elevator, retiring at the age of 55. He enjoyed hunting, gambling and golfing with his friends.
He is survived by his 3 daughters, Lori Thomas, Shelly Harmon and Tina Vanous along with 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Cremation entrusted to Schmidt-Haller Burial & Cremation Services of Peoria. Don will be buried next to his parents at Cedar Memorial Friday October 28th at 11:00am. Don will be loved and missed by his family and friends.
