My condolences to Sarah's family. Sarah and I were childhood friends. I vividly recall us playing the foot pump player piano in her basement and laughing uproariously. I was at her house the day of the John F. Kennedy funeral, and we watched it together in a small tv room off of the living room. I remember her as genuine, generous, kind, intelligent, and funny. We lost touch as friends do when we attended different Cedar Rapids high schools. I haven't known her recently, but I'm confident that the world has lost someone who made us all better.

Ms.Sarah, I miss you very much, the 10 years that we have become friends were far to short. I think of you often and reach for the phone to call, sadly I will no longer be able to visit you. Hopefully you are fishing and riding. Enjoy my friend

Sarah my friend…. From teen girls with our horses to adulthood getting together after dinner for fun conversation and deserts we loved. Talking horses and horse shows. Our lives have separated at times and picked up where they left off Just like it was yesterday. You were a part of my life and you will be so missed. Until we meet again cowgirl??

Please accept my condolences. Sarah and I met at Four Oaks Stable in Robins. She remembered our parents were friends. I soon moved away but greatly appreciated the time we were able to spend in the ring with our horses.

Thank you my dear cousin, for all the good times we had together. I will always cherish and remember our summer visits to Iowa! Love, Mary Ann Shields and Family
