I am truly sorry to learn of the loss of Janet. I met Neil and Janet at their doorstep almost 30 years ago when establishing my office. Over the years they became true friends, and were truly wonderful people. My deepest sympathy to your family. Janet will be greatly missed.

Sharing my thoughts and memories of the old neighborhood on 2nd ave. Janet was always a good hostess to the kids of the neighborhood.

I was a member of Twin Pines Golf COURSE Ladies League. She was a kind, smart and funny lady. also knew Neil and watched the two of them share their love for each other. May they rest in peace.

I was so blessed to have met Janet and Neil during my time with Variety. Caring and patient with all the children for Breakfast with Santa. It was great to watch them interact and see the love they had for each other and the children they were serving. Many blessings.

Dear Janet, I'm so glad to have had the opportunity to meet and get to know you and become a part of the Benest family. Family and the love shared is most important! I admired your talents on the golf course and I know you and sister Karen had a lot of fun. I remember the time when we tried to teach tennis playing sister Sue how to hit a golf ball. Our fun was at her expense however. And then there was your sweet corn!! Best in Iowa! I loved the trips we got to take together, wish there had been more! Love always, your Oklahoma sis Lyn

Janet was my "big" sis and I'll always have good memories of growing up together. Of course there was always her version and my version of those memories and they seldom matched so then we had to agree to disagree just like brothers and sisters do. Since I can't be there for her service I can say how glad I am to have visited recently and we went down memory lane together as I drove her past our old homes and schools and the cemetery where her husband and grandson are buried. We both shared a love for golf and got to play together a few times. I hope you and Neil are playing 18 holes in heaven right now. I love you, Lee

I worked with Neil and went to lots of parties at their house. Enjoyed their friendship and will miss both Neil & Janet. Prayers are with the family.

Janet will be missed I cant tell you how many youth lives she impacted by playing Mrs. Claus for the children at the Boys & Girls Club I smile knowing that she is reunited with Mr. Claus. Thanks for all the memories!

Condolences to family. Bill
