After her sons were born, she became a part time emergency room physician at St. Luke’s hospital, and later a member of the staff of the internship program at Mercy Hospital, which gave her more time to spend with her young sons. After retiring, Marian and Art enjoyed traveling around the world, most notably to China and Antarctica.
