Robert "Bob" Stepanek

Bob and I were schoolmates at Wilson but more than that he and his brother and his parents were family friends and interacted often as members of the Southwest Cedar Rapids community. I remember seeing the first unicycle at his house as a young boy and got a scar on my left ankle in front of his house when my foot slipped off of the pedal of my bike. I am sure he will be missed by all.

We are saddened by the loss of Bob Stepanek. Our best wishing and prayers are with Sandra, Laurie and the rest of the family. Bob was a special friend and mentor to me at Universal Engineering Hammermills. I have received many responses on LinkedIn to friends in the Metal Recycling Industry. One was Mike Lupco from Baltimore Scrap had many great memories of Bob and said he always was there to help and teach. Bob was a pioneer and his designs are commonly used in all OEM Shredders today.
