My sincere sympathies are wished to Jan's family and friends. I knew her as "Jean" as we went to school together at Washington High. I enjoyed seeing her at reunions or reading messages on the class website. Reading all of the tributes, I wish I had known her better through the years.

We have so many fond memories with Len and Jan through La Leche League. Our Condolences Ron and Pat Long

Len and family, I am shocked and saddened to read of Jan's passing. She was such a sweet woman. I wish all of you peace and comfort. Kris Cameron

A true child of the Living God demonstrated a selfless love to everyone & anyone. May God's peace surround her family as they mourn & celebrate her life!

Todd family - I am so sorry to hear about Jan passing away. Your family was a staple in my life all growing up. I pray she can rest in His peace, and you can too. May God give you all strength.

Len and family, we were so shocked to read about Jan in the paper. She was such a sweet and kind soul! We send our deepest condolences to you all.

Alex, your mother sounds like a wonderful lady who gave much to the community and to her family. I'm so sorry for your families loss. It's never easy losing such an important person in your life.

From the minute I walked in her door, Jan made me feel so special and welcomed. She shared the love of God, her husband, children, grandchildren and her siblings. She loved the get togethers with her sisters! She was so easy going and full of stories about her family and the vacations taken. I hate that she has passed. But I know that she left this Earth a better place for being in it. I once jokingly told her that as much time as I spent there, I should just stay. She quickly replied that there was a bedroom down stairs. Another time I mentioned that it was so nice to feel the love they had for me. She again quickly replied, "what's not to love?" I found this 'so Jan' I truly miss her. I felt like I had a mentor in her.

I must say that anytime we came to Cedar Rapids Jan always made us feel welcome. Even in the spirit of competition we always enjoyed each others company. She was such a Godly influence and I know she will be missed by many.

I am so sorry for your loss. The world has lost a beautiful light, and heaven has gained a devoted angel. Pam was a wonderful person and i will remember her. She will be missed by all.

I will always treasure having known Jan through athletics with Sterling Christian School. She was one classy, lovely lady and I always enjoyed athletic director meetings and games. All my sympathy to family and friends.

My heart truly hurts at the news of Jan’s passing and for all the family she left behind! Jan was such a sweet lady to talk to and had such a huge heart for the Lord! She brought a kindness and a giving spirit to Cedar Valley Bible Church in everything she did for the church body and the students of CVCS! I am glad that Jan is now with our Lord & Savior but she will still be greatly missed by those that loved and admired her!

We are so sorry for your loss. Take time to gather and heal as a family in this unanticipated loss. Our deepest sympathy and thoughts are with you all during this difficult time. The ones left behind are the ones that hurt the most, but know she is in a better place now.
