My condolences to the Patton family. I worked with Sue at the U.S. Attorney's Office for many years and always admired her work ethic and her perseverance. She was a great friend, a lovely person and will be much missed!

My heart goes out to Marcy, Jenny, Annette, Matt & family. I will always remember her smile and such generosity that she gave to everyone she knew. She and your father will be missed but not forgotten. They are in a far better place than us and will always be around you and yours. Sending you love and healing during this very difficult time. I will miss them terribly! Love you all, Audrey & family

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Sue at the USAO for many years. She will be missed.

We met Sue when she came to our house to grant our son, Adam, his wish of going to Disney World, from the Make-A-Wish foundation. She sure made his wish come true! And ours, for him. We will be forever grateful for her kindness and generosity. We enjoyed running into her several times after that wonderful trip. Our sympathy to her family. Wishing you peace and comfort and joyful memories. Sara, Dale and Adam Todd

I am so sad Sue that you have passed. Thank you for all of the wisdom that you shared in the US Attorney's Office and at Plains Justice. Your children, I am sure, are proud of your accomplishments. Your wonderful spirit lives on through your family. Thank you for everything. Judi

Gaylord and I extend our deepest sympathy to the Patton family. We met your folks when we teamed with them on a marriage encounter weekend many years ago. What a fun time we had. Our many prayers have been with you and will continue to be in the days ahead.

I worked with Sue at the USAO. She always talked about her children and grandchildren such that I felt I knew you all. There was nothing more important to her and I enjoyed our conversations. She was renown in our office for cooking and baking abilities. You always knew if Sue made it - it was guaranteed to be awesome. My personal favorite was the huge platters of Christmastime treats she brought! I remember when she was first diagnosed with her cancer. She fought a long, hard fight. I hope you can find comfort that she is finally at peace. Keep her memories close at heart. My deepest sympathies to the entire Patton family.

I’m sorry for your loss. Sue and I worked together for almost 20 years and became good friends. She was very proud of her family and kept me informed on their accomplishments. Sue was a great cook and she would make extra pumpkin bars for me to take home from office pot lucks. She was something else. Sue and Jack will be missed.

Patton Family: I’m so sorry to learn of the loss of your mom. It’s so hard when both parents are gone. I saw Sue and Jenny at Fr. Grady’s celebration in Marshalltown a few years ago and she was so kind to me! Take good care of yourselves and each other at this sad time. ~ Sue Gebel

I am so sorry for your loss. I spent time with Sue for years with Make A Wish. She was a great lady and a very special soul. She will be missed.
