Arthur Roderick

As a fellow engineer at Collins it was a pleasure to know Art. He helped me, some time ago, when we went to St. louis for a tennis tournament. He always had my respect and admiration.

My heart goes out to Art’s family on his passing. He was a kind and thoughtful man and dedicated volunteer. I met Art through Rockwell Collins’ K-12 Partnership Program where he shared his skills and passion for technology with so many students. He was never satisfied with the status quo and was always looking for new programs that would appeal to more kids. He was a key volunteer at FIRST LEGO League events and then FIRST Tech Challenge - helping build, set up and tear down the competition fields, serving as a judge, referee and mentor. Even though I haven’t seen him for several years I can still picture his warm smile and feel his gentle presence. Rest In Peace, Art.
