Mr Clancy was my Orchestra teacher at Gregory Lincoln Education Center. He was such an awesome teacher. Rest in Peace

My most sincere condolences to your family. I am so sorry to hear this terrible news. Peace to you.

Connie, I was so sorry to hear about Marty's passing. My heart and prayers are with you and your family. I will always be grateful that Marty started CR Community Orchestra to give adults a place to play our instruments and enjoy music together.

My heart and mind goes out to Connie, Jen, and Andrew. What an emotional time this certainly is. What a creative and productive man Marty was in music, teaching, and parenting. Be well in your grief.

I am very sorry to hear of Marty's passing. We didn't cross paths too often at Jefferson, music and science, but it was always interesting and a pleasure when we did. He was a fun colleague and a truly talented and nice man.

Andrew and family, very sorry to hear about the passing of Marty. I know that you will have many stories to share and memories to hold. My sincere condolences.

Praying for your family during your time of loss.

Martin Clancey, the reason I became a public school music teacher. Truly! I was just working in a music store and he saw the potential in me. Because of Marty, I got my foot in the door which turned into a 14 year high school teaching career. He also was an encouraging mentor through those tough first years of teaching. He was someone I could always turn to. And, he had this knack for turning boring staff meetings into entertaining ones. You were a good man, friend, mentor and colleague Marty. Thank you so much for everything. ??????

I met Mr Clancy as a volunteer mom. He was a breath of fresh air funny, engaging and a good teacher. Always had a smile and a quip. I'm glad he became a teacher! I will pray for your family as you grieve the loss of this good man.

To my middle school band director… Thank you for your kindness and patience in dealing with such hardheaded students like myself. I guess it was only fitting that I grew up and became a middle school band director myself. Life is funny that way…. Rest easy, big guy.

I met him when my children were in school and consider myself blessed because of it....what a kind, sweet, funny, talented. generous, devoted man...His absence will surely leave a void.... He certainly lived his life to the fullest....what a wonderful example! Peace to his family....hold your precious memories close!

Mr. Clancey was an amazing teacher and person. I know in my time in school our class loved him and even made T Shirts with his face. He was special to me as he pushed me and never let me just stagnate in my playing. I looked up to him like another father figure. Marty gave me private lessons one summer so I could join the “second hour” orchestra. He was loved by all his students and even won the A+ for Education Award. I was also fortunate to meet and befriend some of his family as well. All my love to the family as they grieve and to the community of those he has touched in his life.
