Cheryl O’Donnell (63) of Cedar Rapids passed away on August 4, 2021 at the Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha. Visitation will be held Friday August 6, 2021 from 4-7pm at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Saturday August 7, 2021 at Oakland Church of the Nazarene starting at 10:30 am. Burial to follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Cheryl Lynn Robinson was born June 26, 1958 in Cedar Rapids; the daughter of Charles and Shirley (Andrews) Robinson. She graduated from Kennedy High School, class of 1976 and then graduated from the St. Luke’s Nursing School. After graduating from nursing school and doing nursing for a number of years she went on to have her own daycare business for 10 years. Following that she went on to work at Transamerica for just short of 20 years before retiring.
Cheryl was united in marriage to Tom O’Donnell on January 12, 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Cheryl enjoyed golfing, bowling, sewing, crafting, gardening, and camping with her kids and grandkids was an immense joy.
Cheryl is survived by her husband Tom, sons Corey Coleman of Portland, Oregon, Chad Coleman of Cedar Rapids, Aaron (Rebecca) Coleman of Atkins; grandchildren Nekoda and Isaac Coleman; and a sister Carla (Bret) Brecke of Cedar Rapids.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
