Ruby Arlene Gephart 97, formerly of Marion, passed away September 7th, 2020 at the Edgewood Convalescent Home, Edgewood, Iowa.  Per Ruby’s wishes, the memorial service will be private. She will be laid to rest at the Mausoleum at Cedar Memorial Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Ruby was born Jan. 8th, 1923 in Alburnett to Lester and Violet Adams. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1942. She married Lawrence Gephart June 26, 1944 at Rock Island, IL.  Ruby retired from Lagles Hallmark store in 1985. Larry and Ruby loved to square dance and spent many years of their retirement traveling in their RV.

Ruby is survived by 2 sons, Jim and wife Nancy of Cedar Falls, and Don and wife Jane of Manchester, 2 grandchildren, Heather (Mike) Paulsen of Ardmore Ok, and Shawn of Linn Creek Mo., 6 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband Larry, son Gerald Gephart, a granddaughter Amy Gephart, brother Verle Adams, and sisters Veleta (Forest) Mollenhauer, and Cecil Clifton.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Edgewood Convalescent Home for their excellent care and loving kindness toward Ruby.  

Ruby will forever be remembered as a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and kind hearted soul who will be cherished by all who knew her.
