Mother Fannie Bailey was born on November 6, 1925 in Madison County Mississippi to the late Mr. L.T. Thompson and Beatrice Lewis Thompson. To this union six siblings were born: Eddie Thompson, Sr., Pearl Hillard, Lula Hampton, Jessie Bell Taylor, and L. T. Thompson, Jr., along with one step-sister, Victoria Jones, all who proceeded her in death.

Fannie accepted Christ in her life at an early age and was baptized at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Madison County. Shortly after relocation to Jackson, Mississippi she joined the Progressive Missionary Baptist Church. In 1983 she moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa and united at Bethel AME Church under the leadership of Pastor Eli Chastine. She later united with Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church then Pastor Elvis Pressley and current Pastor Rufus Johnson where she was loved by all, remaining a faithful member until being called to her heavenly home.

She was the proud and loving mother of three children: Beatrice (Will) Jackson, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Bernard (Lucille) Thompson, Fort Worth, Texas; and Leon (Shirley) Jackson, Jackson, Mississippi. She was married to the late Eugene Bailey.

In addition to her three children she leaves to cherish her memories; Grandchildren: Stephaine Griffin, Edmond Griffin III, Travis Bernard Thompson, Trevor Rashard Thompson, Demon Jackson, and Tiffany White. Great-grandchildren; William Griffin, Shekinah Brooks, Faith Brooks, Naomi Griffin, Traylan Thompson, Kayla Thompson, Lauren Jackson, Taylor J. White, Treasure White, and Jackson White; Two great-great-grandchildren, Nadia Brooks, and Treylon Jackson. Her extended family includes the entire Fellowship MBC congregation, many cousins, and many, many friends.
