Wilma Ruth Miller, 87 of Milton, WI, was peacefully called home to be with the Lord at her daughter’s home in Cedar Rapids, IA, on Sunday, October 25, 2020.  

Wilma was born in Fulda, MN, on September 25, 1933 to George and Minnie (Gundermann) Homfeld.  Wilma married her high school sweetheart, Verlis Miller, on May 29, 1953 in Worthington MN.  Wilma spent most of her life in Hartley, IA until they became empty nesters and moved to Milton, WI where Wilma worked at the Milton Veterinary Clinic.  Wilma loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Her family was her life.  She had a contagious smile, always caring and kind to make sure everyone felt welcome.  She will be remembered for her sassy ways that were sure to make you smile.  

Wilma will be greatly missed and is survived by her six children.  Wanda (Dennis) Selzer of Papillion NE, Sarah (Brad) Bourret of Concord, NC, Greg Miller of Milton WI, Janine (Randy) Arends of Solon, IA, Audrey (Steve) Kossayian of Cedar Rapids, IA and Angela (Paul) Sleeper of Solon, IA, her 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren and her sister Marge from MN.  Wilma is preceded in death by her husband, and sister, Ellie.  

A private service will be held on Friday, October 30, 2020 for the family. 

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to Hospice Compassus in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
