We are sorry to hear of Bernie's passing. He was a role model for the rest of us in the accounting profession.

Al, Linda & Family, I am so incredibly sorry to hear of your Father's passing. What an amazing man who offered so much to so many. God Bless!

Dear Family of Bernie my condolences and thoughts are with all of you. You were our special neighbors on Elmwood Ct. ,Bernie and family were great friends. Sorry for your loss. RIP.

Amy and family, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Bernie will forever be remembered by his wonderful smile and laugh. From knowing him at IE (my Dad, Tom Gallagher worked at the Meter Shop); to working with Amy when I was at Kirkwood Community College); I am so grateful for the moments I shared with the Rehnstrom family. May your memories help in the days and weeks ahead. God bless you. Debbie Mrkvicka

So sorry for your loss. Bernie was so special, we have so many great memories, such fun we had !!

To Bernie's family, I am sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Bernie at IE and he was so nice to everyone.

Fond memories of Bernie and Dee. We first lived by them on Golfview Drive NE, and shared our last residences in condos on Matterhorn and Bilgarie. Always enjoyed their cheerful demeanor and positive attitude. He will be missed. Still remember Amy sitting on top of their yellow VW and waving to everyone as they drove by!

Bernie and Dee were friends, and we shared many fun times, both in Cedar Rapids and at Lake Okoboji. I visited with both Dee and Bernie in 2013, shortly before Dee passed away, and we shared many laughs. I was sorry to read of Bernie’s passing, but so grateful to have known him.

The news broke my heart for Bernie’s family. He was much loved. One of the best men I’ve known. What an honor it was to be his admin for nearly 15 years and his friend for over 40 yrs. He treated me like family. Here’s to the reunion of Bernie and Dee.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Bernie's passing. I want Al & Linda and Lindsey, Jordon & Evan to know my thoughts & prayers go out to you all. You are all so blessed to have so many wonderful memories to carry with you forever. Bernie & Dee were very special people and will be missed by so many.
