I am heart broken to learn of Dan's passing. I always looked forward to my outage trips to DAEC and the fun with Dan and the guys. He was always very nice and engaging as well as freely giving. The world certainly lost a good one with Dan.

You have our deepest sympathy. Dan was a great guy. Doug and Melody Hartz

Kim and Coghlan Family, Our deepest prayers go from our family to yours. From being classmates & cheerleaders together with Kim and watching Dan in the bleachers all the way to Dan on the Gatsby's Dance floor at our bothers Gatsby's Club...His large infectious smile was always contagious. Hi Kim, my sympathy to you and your family on the loss of your dad. So many great memories to hold close to your heart. It's been a few years (40+) since I've seen him and his smile and of course wearing a cowboy hat hasn't changed. My best to all of you. Janet

Sorry to here of Dan's passing I got to meet him 2011 when my dad was in hospice they had went to school together and lived in the same neighborhood growing up. He showed up everyday to check on him and fill me in on some stories of there times together back then and it really ment alot to me, once again so very sorry for your loss.

Rhonda ,so sorry to hear of Dan’s passing. I think of all that I worked with at DAEC . Sending my thoughts and prayers.

Karen and family, and Dan's daughters and family. We were so sorry to see the notice under the obituaries in the paper today of Dan's death. We will remember what a fun guy he was and the times we joined other friends and family at his acreage listening to live music. There's no doubt that Dan will be missed by many people.

Rhonda, Kim, Connie and other family and close friends I'm so very sorry for the loss of your loved one Dan. When we were first introduced to Dan he told us that some called him "Crazy Dan" & he'd answer to that as well. Dan's many interesting stories will be missed now that he's gone to the great beyond (where ever that may be. . . Who knows?) I'd also like to thank Dan and his family for his many years of service in the military to protect us and our country. I'm one who knew Dan because of his friends who worked with him at Alliant Energy, but also as a patron at our favorite gathering place of "Vito's on 42nd". At times it seems like Vito's is kind of like "Cheers" where everyone knows your name! Even after our family moved to a more Southern climate 8 years ago, Dan still rememberd us when we had our various return trips home to CR. Dan was a genuine jewel and will be missed by many! Here's hoping your various good memories spent with your beloved Dan can sustain you during this difficult time. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Remembered Dan as a great co-worker and friend that will be missed by many! Rest In Peace, Dan!!!????????So sorry for your loss, Rhonda!

Kim & Connie- it was so nice to meet you at the Hospice House on Friday. Thank you for allowing me to share some special, funny memories of your dad from his time at Emery Place! He always made me laugh with his comments and horse stories :) I enjoyed his singing when I played the piano. Alzheimer's is a horrible disease (my father had it, too) but your Dad was a trooper. God bless you and your families.
