Bill and I were saddened by the death of Rosie. Bill worked with her at Nabisco. He was a driver and then was brought in as the Warehouse Foreman. I wondered if something was wrong with her when we did not get a phone call from her at Christmas. We will always cherish the memories we had with her. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers. I knew Rosie for at least 60 years. My mother (Salome Douglas) bowled together in local, state and national tournaments. I enjoyed engaging her just to see what clever answer I got. I kept in touch with her at Mass. She was one of the last of her generation. R.I.P. Rosie

We were always happy to have Rosie at our family gathering and considered her our family matriarch. Over the years when invited she would say "yes I'll come ... followed by if I'm still here". Who would of thought thanksgiving 2019 was her last one with us.

Rosie was my godmother and our friend. While growing up, she and my mom were on many bowling teams together and also on the Cedar Rapids Women's Bowling Council. Rosie was always there if you needed a hand or just to talk to.
She will be miss.

I am so sorry to hear of Rosie's passing, but I rejoice at all she accomplished in her long life. She lived life on HER terms and was an inspiration to all of us that she still drove and was able to stay in her home. (even though we encouraged her to move where she would be cared for.) "I don't need anyone to take care of me!" And she didn't.. We enjoyed celebrating special days with her. I remember her being very spirited, We loved her.
