Emily was my first cousin. Her mother, Cecile (Petro) Hanzlik, was the youngest sister of my father, Tilson Petro. Because of our shared interest in Petro family history, based mostly on the fantastic Petro family stories preserved by her mother, Emily and I have enjoyed sharing new information we have found about our Petro family heritage. We do remember that Emily suffered a stroke about two years ago and that her health has been on the decline. May her sons, Barry and Bruce, their families and her friends be comforted by their many wonderful memories of Emily and by the knowledge that she has left a lasting legacy of love and caring for others. Peace, John and Joyce Petro, john@petroclan.com

Barry, Bruce and families: Words cannot express my sadness, love, and good memories of your mom, dad, and both of you boys. Keeping you all close in my heart, now and always. Give Bob a hug for me.

Bruce, Judy and your entire families...Thoughts, hugs, love and blessings to you all.

Barry: Sorry to hear of your Mother's passing. Our condolences to you, Pam and your family.

We are so sorry for your loss. I remember how much “trouble” your folks and ours would get into as part of the church group they belonged to at Trinity. Even through all the years your mom never changed. We saw her at Dad’s celebration of life a year ago. She was so full of hugs and love for us. May she now Rest In Peace.

We have enjoyed the lunches with her in Cedar Rapids Howard Grimm and Gladys Grimm(Briles) in Altoona Ia

I will always remember Em as a wonderful person who enjoyed being a great friend to my mother, Tommie whom she met at Rockwell. She also befriended me after I lossed my mom 9 yrs ago. She will always be remembered as a true friend a great lady! Thinking of your entire Norden family at this time. Sara L. Kendall.
