Daniel Lee Martin, 64, of Central City, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday December 9, 2020 surrounded by his family, at Mercy Medical Center after a short illness. A Celebration of Life service will be held on a later date. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Daniel was born February 23, 1956, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Kenneth and Beverly (Newman) Martin. He attended Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids and worked at Longview Fibre Company for several years where he went on to meet his wife Pamala Martin.
Daniel enjoyed working on Cars, taking care of his plants, tinkering with projects, spending time on his lawn, listening to music and loved animals. He enjoyed playing with his cats and watching the birds and wildlife in their yard. Daniel was a Mason for Level Lodge 284 where he enjoyed the brotherhood and companionship in the organization that his father and brother were also a part of.
He is survived by his wife Pamala Martin of Central City, his mother, Beverly Martin of Central City, and his daughter Angela (Kirk) Wilson and his granddaughter, Aria Wilson and his son Adam Martin, his stepson Jeff Becker, step-granddaughters, Kaylee Becker, Drew Becker, Haydin and stepsons, Travis Bowers, step-grandsons, Hunter Bowers, Sawyer Bowers, and Briar Bowers.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Angeline Randal, Sue and Lois Akers, father, Kenneth Martin Senior, his mother-in-law, Thelma Duffy, his brother, Kenneth Martin Junior and several aunts and uncles.
