What a beautiful service in memory of Dorothea !!! It all sure blessed my heart!! What a special lady she was !!! ??????

Chuck, Linda, and Family, Dorothea's passing is such a loss to you, and our family shares that loss with you since we have known her our entire lives. She was one of Mother's best friends, and it was my pleasure to have known her in various ways in my life. I knew Dorothea and Mervin as members of "the" Bridge Club, and I knew her through Mother and Pauline's (and others) affiliation with Alpha Xi Delta. When I pledged Alpha Xi at UNI, she was our chapter adviser and attended my activation ceremony. After college, I became a language arts teacher at Harding, so we attended many language arts meetings together and discussed various curriculum issues that concerned us. After Mom's passing, she remained a loyal friend to Dad, and I know that he joins me in extending our sympathies to you in your loss. She was a dynamite lady! I loved her dearly. Chuck, Linda, and family, Dorothea was my team teaching partner at Taft for a number of years. She was a knowledgeable, skillful teacher with a great sense of humor. I enjoyed working with her. Dorothea was also my friend, and after her retirement, we got together from time to time for coffee or lunch. I will miss her. At our last visit at Arbor Place, she told me she'd had a good life, and I thought how typical that remark was: Dorothea always looked at the positive. I never heard her complain. May you find comfort in your many good memories and in one another. Diane Rosteck

It was my pleasure to work with Dorothea when I taught at TAFT. Not only was she a great teacher, she was also a very classy and refined lady. We often shared stories of our children and grandchildren. Her genuine smile brightened my days.

Charles and family, I am very sorry to hear of Dorothea's passing but she sure had a wonderful long life with many wonderful experiences. Being my Dad was the baby of the family, I don't know many of my cousins on the Easton side. I do remember Dorothea. When we had a reunion in CR at Randy's she always came. She was a very special lady and will be missed. I hope I can make it to the service in Cr. I don't remember when the last time I have seen you, Chuck. Mary Ann

Mrs. Huebner was my junior high language arts teacher, and spurred my future in earning a journalism degree. She was wonderful! I am glad to read that she stayed active and engaged in her later years so that all of her grandchildren could learn from her and enjoy her company. Wishing you all peace at this sad time.
